"Being a part of Queer People of Color Collective (QPOCC) has been an awesome experience for me. Coming from a town that has a very small gay community in general; being here in Greensboro and connecting with this group of outstanding individuals finally gives me a sense of community. Being surround by so many supportive and talented people; it's really a blessing. I really Appreciate the work of April Parker and Parker T. Hurley for starting something I feel will have a lasting existence and is very much needed here in the Triad and I feel honored to be a part of this movement." Nevada Staples

"QOPCC has provided a safe haven for LGBTQ identified individuals to creatively come together and circumvent the insurmountable obstacles surrounding the identity. The organization provides the community of allies and queer identified folks the opportunity to congregate and share real life experiences that enrich the lives of each individual." Williams
